How to Measure your Dog
Measuring is important as even dogs of the same breed can vary considerably in size.
Always measure your dog standing up with a soft measuring tape. If your dog normally has a thick or dense coat that’s clipped short at the time of measuring, add enough extra for coat re-growth.
Back Length
Measure from where the collar sits to where the tail starts.
Chest
Measure around the chest in two positions: - behind the front legs - In front of the front legs.
Neck
Measure where the collar sits.
Always remember that each dog/breed is different.
These are examples of how different breeds typically fit our sizes. Please note that the same breed can vary considerably in size, so it’s important to always measure your dog to ensure maximum comfort. All measurements are in inches.
